Xavier - iPhone Travel Document Reader

SimonComputing has developed an iPhone solution for reading passports. This product does not require any special devices to be attached with the iPhone.
It is an IOS static library that processes travel documents using the camera built into the iPhone. Xavier takes a video of your travel document. It centers and focuses on the MRZ area, collecting images of the MRZ in real time. Within seconds, the text from the MRZ is constructed from the images. The biographic information is then ready to be processed. The OCR from the MRZ is returned as text or an XML parsed field list to the integrated application.
